Commercial Lines Broker MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our
insurance brokerage client to find a first-class
Commercial Lines Broker to join their team in
Ottawa, Ontario (hybrid / remote / in-office). The primary responsibility of this role will be to build, grow, and retain a profitable commercial insurance book of business while providing tailored risk and coverage solutions to business clients.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:- Prospect, generate, and close new commercial insurance business
- Build and manage your own book of business with a strong focus on retention and renewals
- Recommend customized coverage solutions based on each client’s risk profile
- Deliver a seamless, professional client experience from quote to binding
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across the brokerage’s full product portfolio
You should have the following in your background to apply:- Valid RIBO license with 3–5 years of commercial lines insurance sales experience
- Proven ability to prospect, close, and retain commercial clients
- Strong knowledge of commercial products (auto, CGL, E&O, D&O, surety, etc.)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong networking and lead generation skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems and modern digital tools
