What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serving areas, setting, serving and cleaning tablesAssists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the ChefPractices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health departmentPromotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed proceduresComplies with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour readyParticipates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparednessWork in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety ActWhat You Need To Know
Must have the Smart Serve designation or Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations) and one year experience in dining room serviceAbility to work independently and / or as a member of a teamSafe Food Handling Certification preferredExperience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an assetProven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgroundsEffective verbal and written English communication skills requiredSienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position.
