Join our team based in Montreal as a Mechanical Drafter for our HVAC valves and actuators department! Your main role will involve updating existing or creating new 3D models & drawings, generating BOM, and releasing final components and assemblies into PDM while adhering to technical specifications and manufacturing constraints.
You'll dive into developing mechanical designs from concept to detailed drawings using specialized tools, and you'll play a key part in supporting part validation and verification activities through 3D scanning tools.
Additionally, you'll contribute to capturing and documenting processes, best practices, and more. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative mechanical design within a dynamic team.
Remarque : International relocation package is not available for this position What will you do? Create schematics and models for individual components, sub-assemblies, and full assemblies.
Develop or update 3D CAD models & 2D drawings based on design specifications, adhering to drafting standards. Review drafts to ensure accuracy and completeness, working closely with department designers.
Utilize CAD programs to translate schematics and design data into precise 3D models. Analyze design documents and plans, collaborating with engineers to address any errors.
Support engineers during initial planning by producing design sketches and models for analysis and modification. Work with engineers, production technicians, and clients to identify design issues and devise effective solutions.
Manage drawing files, BOM, and implement changes through the Engineering Change Notices (ECN) process. Contribute to the ongoing improvement and implementation of best practices within the engineering department.

DEC in Mechanical Engineering technology, Bachelor’s degree in mechanical drafting, or CAD certification 5-7 years of relevant work experience in an R&D environment Proficiency in Pro Engineer or SolidWorks, rapid prototyping software, SAP, GD&T is essential Knowledge of CREO and PDM / PLM is a strong advantage Strong grasp of product design, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering principles Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with design engineers and manufacturing personnel Self-driven, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Basic understanding of HVAC, valves, and / or actuators is a plus Good at oral & written communication in English to be able to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders based in China and Europe This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical engineering to join our dynamic team and contribute to groundbreaking projects.
