Renowned for delivering exceptional experiential travel and hospitality, our properties strive to exceed guest expectations while championing sustainability, cultural immersion, and authentic connections.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sales and Marketing Director to spearhead efforts in growing revenue, expanding our client base, and strengthening our brand presence globally. This is a high-impact role requiring strategic leadership, hands-on sales execution, and a collaborative approach to marketing.

The position is primarily weighted towards sales with close oversight of marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive occupancy, increase direct bookings, and strengthen brand recognition.
  • Lead the creation and management of the sales and marketing budget, ensuring alignment with revenue goals.
  • Represent the brand at relevant trade shows and events, while exploring new opportunities to expand presence in the luxury and experiential travel market.

Sales Execution

  • Drive direct sales efforts with a focus on high-value accounts such as corporate partners, luxury travel agencies, and group booking clients.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM systems and analytics tools, ensuring consistent progress toward revenue targets.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with partners, including corporate travel planners, wholesalers, OTAs, and international tour operators.
  • Handle revenue-driven tasks such as contract negotiation, RFP (Request for Proposal) responses, and managing group and corporate sales accounts.
  • Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop optimal pricing strategies and maximize inventory utilization.
  • Implement targeted sales strategies across multiple channels to drive consistent growth.
  • Marketing Execution

  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, SEO, content creation, email campaigns, and paid advertising, ensuring alignment with sales goals.
  • Drive PR campaigns and storytelling that elevate the unique offerings of our properties.
  • Work closely with on-site marketing personnel to ensure local marketing efforts align with overarching strategies.
  • Team and Partnership Coordination

  • Mentor and manage the junior marketing coordinator based in Belize, providing guidance and support to achieve team objectives.
  • Collaborate with our many partners, including graphic design agency, web developer, digital marketing agency, and PR professionals, to deliver cohesive and efficient campaigns.
  • Maintain and build upon relationships with trade partners such as wholesalers, travel agents, OTAs, and brand collaborators.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Conduct regular market and competitor analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators such as occupancy rates, ADR, RevPAR, engagement metrics, and revenue growth.
  • Prepare detailed reports and insights for ownership, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Who We’re Looking For

    Experience and Expertise

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in hospitality sales, with a proven record of exceeding revenue targets and growing brand presence.
  • Expertise in luxury and experiential travel markets, with knowledge of current trends.
  • Significant experience in B2B sales, corporate travel programs, and group sales, including contract negotiations and account management.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, utilizing revenue management software, and working with PMS systems.
  • Experience in international markets and cross-cultural selling is a strong advantage.
  • Skills and Attributes

  • Highly organized, creative, and self-motivated.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to confidently present and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable networking, building relationships, and closing high-value deals.
  • Some degree of fluency in Spanish or French is a strong advantage but not required.
  • Cultural Alignment

  • Passionate about small, unique properties and experiential travel.

  • Additional Requirements

  • Availability to travel to Belize at least twice per year and to trade events as appropriate, typically 6 times annually.
  • Comfortable with a hybrid work schedule (4 days in-person, 1 remote).
