Position Title: Sales and Operations Specialist
Location: Onsite – Lachine, QC

Position Summary:
The GTI Group is seeking a highly motivated Sales and Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Lachine, QC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full sales and operational lifecycle of transportation services, including dry van, reefer, container drayage, and flatbed freight. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in both customer acquisition and carrier negotiation, with a strong focus on building and managing your own book of business from prospecting to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling and outbound outreach
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carrier partners
- Build and manage a personal book of business by securing freight from new and existing clients
- Quote, book, and manage shipments across multiple modes (dry van, reefer, drayage, flatbed)
- Negotiate competitive rates with both carriers and customers to ensure profitability
- Coordinate timely pickups and deliveries, resolving service issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate records of all activities in our CRM and TMS systems
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience booking freight and negotiating with carriers
- Solid understanding of full dry van, reefer, flatbed, and container drayage transportation
- Strong cold calling and outbound prospecting capabilities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with CRM and TMS platforms is preferred
- Self-driven, highly organized, and capable of managing workload independently
