Are you interested in working on low latency, automated trading systems? What about measuring application latencies down to the nanosecond?

Or improving trading performance using machine learning and AI? If all these things sound exciting, RBC Capital Markets is seeking adventurous developers to join their Systematic Trading group

Global Equities - Systematic Trading

As a member of Global Equities, the team is responsible for continuously improving and creating new strategies and trading systems covering North American equities and is widely known as one of the most progressive groups in finance in terms of both culture and innovation.

By being a part of the team, you will contribute to and start new projects that have real-world and significant impact on how RBC Capital Markets does business on a daily basis.

Members of the team possess a diverse set of skills ranging from novel problem solving approaches to quantitative modelling expertise and apply them to improving and developing new trading systems.

Past accomplishments have included RBC's patented smart order routing technology known as THOR (as mentioned in "Flash Boys") and Canada's first artificial intelligence trading network.

What will you do?

• Build technical solutions that solve business problems and provide a scalable, and reliable trading solution
• Build new low latency trading algorithms
• Exercise creativity and bring innovative technological solutions to drive the business
• You will be given freedom and independence to implement solutions, and will have a strong support network of excellent developers, researchers, and quants to help ensure your solutions are successful in production

Core Competencies : (Required)

• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and / or C++
• Knowledge of well-established operating systems such as Unix, Linux, Windows
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Core Competencies : (Preferred)

• Experience with performance Optimization
• Understanding of algorithmic trading
