Production and Bidding Accountant

Position Overview :

We are looking for a Production Accountant with extensiveexperience in the VFX industry particularly in managing tax creditsand costing out bids for projects.

The ideal candidate will be astrategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial processesrelated to VFX production.

This role requires strong analyticalskills attention to detail and the ability to collaborateeffectively with various departments within theorganization.

Work FromHome :

This is a WFHrole. All potential candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.Ideal candidate will be residents of either Ontario or BritishColumbia.

TaxCredits :

Navigateand optimize tax credit incentives available in the Canadian VFXindustry.

Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations anddocumentation requirements.

Collaborate with legal and finance teamsto maximize tax creditbenefits.

Bidding newjobs :

Work closely withproduction teams to prepare accurate and comprehensive costestimates for VFX projects.

Analyze project requirements assessresource needs and evaluate production timelines.

Develop costingstrategies to enhance project profitability.

FinancialReporting :

Generatefinancial reports and analyses to support decisionmaking processes.

Provide regular updates on project financial performance andpotential cost overruns.

Collaborate with the finance departmentto ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Budgeting andForecasting :

Assist in thedevelopment of project budgets and forecasts.

Monitor projectexpenditures and variance analysis against budgeted figures.

Identify areas for costsaving measures without compromisingquality.

Collaboration and Communication :

Liaise with various departments to gathernecessary information and ensure alignment on financial objectives.

Communicate financial information and project schedules effectivelyto variousstakeholders.

Requirements

Extensive experience working closely with aSenior Production management and other stakeholders to build andcost out bids for all shows and help forecast basic resourceplans.

Bachelorsdegree in Finance Accounting or a related field preferred orextensive industry experience in the role..

CPA designationor equivalent qualification is preferred or working towards yourdesignation.

Proven experience as a Production Accountant in theVFX industry.

Indepth knowledge of tax credits and incentivesrelated to film and television production in Canada.

Strongproficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.
