Our client, a public accounting firm is currently looking a Staff Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and preparation of NTR engagement files including corporate and personal tax planning and preparation.
- Assist with compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
- Prepare and maintain government remittances / filings, accounts receivable expenses, accounts payable and payroll transactions.
- Set-up client files and assist with the completion of budgets.
- Perform the month-end and quarter-end close process.
- Maintain, monitor, and reconcile GL accounts, including but not limited to cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Qualifications :
- Post secondary education in accounting is a must
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
- CPA in progress preferred
- A working knowledge of Quickbooks, Caseware, Caseview and Taxprep / Profile
- Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
