QUALIFICATIONS :

Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics or a related field and at least five (5) years project management experience in a health care environment.

Skills And Abilities

• Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, PgMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and / or demonstrated experience in leading and managing large projects in information systems using formal project management processes and techniques.
• Experience with implementing business and process changes in a health care environment and experience with information systems analysis and design procedures and techniques.
• Understanding of VIHA's business, principles and procedures.
• Understanding of infrastructure hardware such as networks, storage, processing, and cabling.
• Familiarity with data centres / server rooms, environmental systems, and security.
• Well developed interpersonal and client relationship skills.
• Effective meeting management skills.
• Supervisory or managerial experience and ability to provide team leadership.
• Knowledge and practice in effective problem solving techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of departments and technical, operational and vendor staff.
• Ability to effectively work with and motivate individuals having different knowledge and skills as well as special interest groups.
• Ability to develop and deliver formal change management practices.
• Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills.
• Excellent listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient use of various project management tools, applications and processes.
• Effective operation of computer software and peripheral equipment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
