THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Thomson Power Systems business unit (under Regal Rexnord), based out of Langley, BC.

In this position, you will be a vital member of a small yet mighty HR team, reporting to the HR Manager for our Langley location.

This role is ideal for a proactive, efficient self-starter who is energized by a high-paced environment and balances excellent people skills with strong analytical abilities.

Your responsibilities will cover a diverse range of functions including talent acquisition and sourcing, employee onboarding, offering administrative HR supportto coordinating engagement events and fielding general HR inquiries.

Additionally, you will support the HR Manager in driving strategic projects.This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive on multifaceted involvement across various business functions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing reliable administrative support for day-to-day HR operations to ensure efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

Serving as a primary contact for HR-related inquiries, providing prompt and accurateinformation to employees.

Assisting the HR Manager with initiatives aimed at talent development and retention, thereby supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals.

Assistingwith the full-cycle recruitment efforts and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Support driving employee engagement, through events and social activities, assisting with the Social Club initiatives.

Provide support for other human resources, recruitment, onboarding, and administrative tasks as needed.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resourcesor related field, or equivalent experience required.

3-5 years of HR experience; ideally within a manufacturing and unionized environment.

Experience working in a growing company or a business unit within a global parent company, adeptly handling associated complexities.

Technically savvy, experience with Microsoft Office products, HRIS systems (ADP, Workday, Kronos, etc) with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt new technologies.

Demonstrated sense of urgency and proven ability to act promptly and effectively.

Continuous improvement mindset with the drive to seek out ways to streamline and improve HR processes and initiatives.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Trusted partner and advisor with a proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.

Demonstratedworking understanding of employment laws and regulations.

Passion for customer service, delivering best-in-class HR service
