Journeyman Carpenter

Job Title : Journeyman Carpenter / Project coordinator

Shift : 7am-4pm

Location : Richmond Hill, ON

Salary : $33 per hour

Description : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced construction worker with extensive knowledge in Residential projects, you will oversee and manage residential construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities :

• Manage all aspects of residential construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Ability to perform in repairs and deficiencies within construction homes / subdivision
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progression.
• Monitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Communicate project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Manage project budgets and expenses, and track project costs.
• Oversee quality control and assurance measures to deliver projects that exceed client expectations.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment among project team members.

Qualifications :

• Must have handyman / Carpentry experience in the residential construction environment
• Proven experience as a Residential Project Manager or similar role in residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
• PMP or other relevant certifications.
