The Role
Medcan is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic, high-performance nursing team in the Annual Health Assessment Clinic . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values exceptional care. You will work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure an outstanding client experience.
What you’ll do
- Immunization and vaccination education and administration according to the Publicly Funded Immunization Schedule for Ontario
- Review client prescreening questionnaires and identify if vaccination is appropriate
- Manage adverse reactions or any emergency medical situations that may arise in-clinic
- Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service
- Health assessment and teach on immunizations and expected outcomes, adverse reactions and how to manage accordingly
- Monitor and facilitate the flow of patients through the clinic in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist as needed within the Annual Health Assessment, Year‑Round Care, Pediatric and other Specialty Clinics
What you’ll need
This is a casual role with a minimum of 2 Saturday shifts plus any additional availability scheduled per month during business hours Monday through Sunday. The role sits primarily at our Toronto Clinic at 150 York St. Opportunity to support other clinic locations may be available.
