Senior Manager, Go-To-Market Strategy

Job summary

The Senior Manager, Go-To-Market Strategy will be responsible for understanding and transforming Go To Market motions in the data center and digital infrastructure space;

staying on top of competitor offerings and market trends, influencing product and business strategy / roadmap, product portfolio / feature specification, and helping leadership to make prioritization decisions.

We are looking for a team member to help us drive the next wave of growth at Equinix by bringing deep GTM expertise, an understanding of the holistic customer lifecycle including;

revenue, engagement, selling motions and optimization levers who can grow and become the go-to thought partner of senior leaders in our Customer and Revenue organization.

This role will sit within the Transformation Office’s enterprise Strategy, Data and Insights team reporting to the Sr. Dir of GTM Strategy.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing a long-term outlook for the business, supporting critical decision making, and ensuring Equinix maintains a strong competitive edge in strategy and execution.

This role gives you a bird’s eye view of the entire company and the opportunity to work collaboratively across functions.

Responsibilities

Strategic

Partner with GTM leadership and BU / Functional Leadership Teams & cross functional peers to translate Equinix Enterprise Strategy into a GTM roadmap, set of initiatives / business cases to deliver value for Equinix’s customer

Engage with company leaders to obtain buy-in for cross-functional projects, including planned outcomes, strategic narratives and linkages to enterprise strategy

Gather and analyze large amounts of information; develop compelling and insightful strategic recommendations for leadership, focused on GTM strategy, customer experience, operational efficiency

Strategy presentations : CEO and board material creation

Initiative Management

Design and lead (when applicable) high profile cross-functional initiatives

Make critical decision-making proposals and outline complex strategic initiatives across the business

Drive internal consulting projects focused on new markets / products, growth initiatives, transformation and profitability / efficiency / effectiveness improvements

Monitor strategy execution to align outcomes with strategic intent and benefit realization

Customer Analysis and Strategic Positioning

Drive recommendations on how to engage with strategic customers, based on the analysis of customer footprints and deployments with Equinix

Independent challenger, providing thought partnership to key stakeholders in relevant areas of expertise

Responsible for strategies to win new customers and grow existing customer base

Help set business priorities based on emerging industry and market trends

Make recommendations to the executive team on business opportunities and proactively provide answers / insights to key business strategies

Spearhead opportunities for increased customer engagement

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in product strategy, marketing, or business development at a data center or technology company preferred

Work experience in or consulting for SaaS, Software Defined Infrastructure, networking, and / or data center fields

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field preferred

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and contribute to the creation of a strategic plan for a $5B+ business; track record of communicating the narrative and achieving buy-in from senior leaders

Experience in metro level growth strategy for data centers, industry / segment marketing, competitor intelligence / market scan, commercial optimization would be directly applicable

Strong experience managing and influencing stakeholders across different functional groups

Substantial GTM experience, preferably requiring leadership engagement and influence

Experienced in attending sales / partner meetings at a senior level and able to contribute to the conversation

Ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision and influence
