About the work environment :
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home.
Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8 : 00am and 4 : 30pm with flexibility around start & end times.
Hiring Location :
We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About you :
You are a highly experienced Head of Business Risk with a strong background in product management and operations. Harnessed with your proven experience of in business risk in the fintech and / or banking world, you’re ready for your next challenge.
As the Head of Business Risk, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management tactics to safeguard our organization's interests while facilitating growth and innovation.
About the qualifications :
- Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 15-20 years of progressive experience in risk management, preferably within the business in a Product or Operations function
- Strong background in product management and operations, with a proven track record of implementing risk management strategies in these areas
- Extensive knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective leadership abilities with the capacity to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts to stakeholders at all levels
About the day-to-day :
- Develop and execute risk management strategies aligned with the company's objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across all business functions, with a focus on product development and operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management processes into product lifecycle and operational workflows
- Establish and maintain robust risk assessment frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Provide leadership and guidance to teams involved in risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting
- Conduct regular risk reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to proactively address potential threats to the business
Annual Compensation :
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $225,000 and $250,000 + per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities & experience that the chosen candidate possess.
