Essence of the Role
As a production technician you will be responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of CORE’s essential product component, the membrane that is used in all our final products, while applying your ingenuity in supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate coating line and be responsible for changeovers and total preventive maintenance per defined schedule and procedure.
- Responsible for inventory management of consumables.
- Prepare coating solutions per work instructions and recipes at the start of each run / shift.
- Be responsible for meeting production and quality targets.
- Ensure all Quality and Shift report documentation is completed.
- Inspect and review incoming materials for anomalies or quality discrepancies.
- Identify and help solve equipment downtime issues.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot production equipment issues.
- Contribute to CORE’s culture of Lean Manufacturing, Innovation and Continuous Improvement.
- Assist in the creation, implementation and improvement of procedures and systems.
- Follow safety regulations, work in a safe manner and raise awareness of safety hazards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized 5S work area.
- Become proficient in multiple processes and help cross training other team members.
Qualifications :
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Experienced in material / inventory management.
- Experienced in operating production machinery.
- Comfortable with computers using Excel, Word, Outlook.
- A winning, positive attitude is imperative.
- Flexibility to work Monday-Friday Morning (7-3 A shift), Afternoon (3-11 B Shift), Standard days (9-5).
