SUMMARY Driver Recruiter, Lead
Shift : Full Time; Monday to Friday (Flexible)
The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Driver Recruiter to join the Human Resources Department in our Winnipeg facility.
This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, qualifying, and hiring Over the Road Truck Drivers based on Operational requirements.
The ultimate mission of this role is to eliminate un-seated trucks and improve driver retention and lower turnover rates.
The Driver Recruiter provides guidance to hiring managers and other stakeholders with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations as well as departmental processes.

KEY ACTIVITIES
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Analyze driver needs for designated recruitment territory across within Canada, communicates any special needs to the National Fleet Manager
- Sourcing potential candidates from various online channels
- Design and update job descriptions
- Craft recruiting emails to attract candidates
- Screen incoming resumes and application forms
- Conducting background checks
- Various job interview formats, including phone screens
- Advertise job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internally
- Provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Send job offers and answer queries
- Attend regular conference calls with the department to discuss ongoing issues and concerns.
- Train and follow new industry rules and regulations
- Support and participate in strategies to develop, attract and retain strategies for drivers & owner operators.
- Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
- Act as a consultant to new hires and help them on board
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Experience
- Proven work experiences as an Driver Recruiter or similar role
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and Resume databases
- Experience with sourcing techniques
- Understanding of referral programs
- A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong Written and Oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and priority management skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Previous experience in the Transportation Industry is considered an asset.
