Responsibilities : ​

Prepare plans, designs, calculations, and analysis in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings and other specifications

Prepare and assist in the preparation of engineering technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoff and cost estimates, drawings or schedules as assigned

Perform structural analysis and evaluation with various software

Interpret and analyze field inspection data to evaluate and make recommendations on technical problem solutions

Conduct bridge and structural inspection work by doing non-destructive testing, recording / measuring bridge dimension types (according to standards) and saw cut and concrete core sampling

Assist in site work such as traffic control and flagging

Prepare contract documents, tender evaluations and / or construction liaison and support services

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering with strong interest in structures, particularly bridges

Minimum 2 years of experience in the consulting industry working with transportation structures

Interest in working both in the office and out in the field

Ability to perform outdoor physical duties including bridge inspection work

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Organized and detail-oriented

Strong computer skills, including experience with CAD, SAP2000, CSiBridge and MIDAS

Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
