The 2nd Commis position is focused ondelivering high quality food that meets and exceeds departmentalstandards as set by Sous Chefs & Executive Chef.
The 2ndCommis may work in the Outlet kitchen Banquets or the PastryShop.
What you will bedoing :
- Produceexcellent quality food items by following established proceduresfor food production as set by Sous Chefs and the ExecutiveChef.
- Make a mise en place list and set up nextdays shift for success.
- Follow menu itemworksheets with accurate ingredient lists preparation methods andpictures for all menu items.
- Usecorrect food storage and rotation procedures to minimize foodwaste. Ensure fridge temperatures arerecorded.
- Communicate in a timelymanner with the Sous Chefs any food items that need to beordered.
- Drive Guest SatisfactionIndex scores by ensuring standards for timeliness of service arebeingmet.
Qualifications :
- 12 yearsexperience in the food service industry in quality establishments.Quality high volume banquet experience or quality a la carteexperience an asset.
- Valid Food HandlerCertificate required
- Graduate of a recognizedculinary schoolrecommended.
