NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, VB.NET, desktop application development, and other programming tasks. The role is based in Toronto, ON.
Technical Skills Required :
- NET Experience : Strong experience with the .NET framework.
- VB.NET & Visual Basic : Proficiency in VB.NET and Visual Basic, particularly using Visual Studio 2015 or later, with experience in desktop application development.
- DB2 (SQL, Stored Procedures) : Experience in working with DB2 databases, including writing and managing SQL queries and stored procedures.
- IBM Data Studio : Familiarity with IBM Data Studio for database management and development.
- Git / GitLab : Proficiency in using Git for version control and experience with GitLab for repository management and collaboration.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the .NET framework, with a strong background in VB.
NET , desktop application development , Visual Basic , database management with DB2, and version control using Git / GitLab.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications to meet business requirements, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET and VB.NET in Visual Studio 2015 or later, with a focus on desktop application development.
- Write and manage SQL queries and stored procedures in DB2 databases.
- Utilize IBM Data Studio for database management and development tasks.
- Implement and manage version control processes using Git and GitLab.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to applications and databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing applications.
Deliverables :
- Technical specifications : Create, review, and update as required.
- Design, develop, and test software : Including unit testing to meet specifications.
- Support initiatives during requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation BAU support tasks.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 8 plus years of experience in .NET development.
- In-depth knowledge of VB.NET and desktop application development using Visual Studio 2015 or later.
- Proficiency in working with DB2 databases, including SQL and stored procedures.
- Experience with IBM Data Studio.
- Strong experience with Git and GitLab for version control and repository management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
