What you’ll do :
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department.
Duties will include, but are not limited to :
Processing new and refill prescriptions
Data entry of prescriptions, including dosage calculations
Packaging prescriptions including product selection, counting / measuring, and labeling
Preparation of blister packs and compounds
Adjudication and sale of prescription and non-prescription products using the Pharmacy software and point of sale (POS) systems
Providing customer service to patients in person and over the telephone
Ordering and receiving pharmacy inventory and supplies
Over-the-counter department maintenance including facing, stocking, cleaning, pricing, checking expiries, etc.
Administrative duties such as performing inventory counts, processing invoices, filing, etc.
Cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying waste containers, cleaning packaging and dispensing equipment, etc.
Comply with all legal requirements (Federal and Provincial) and Pharmacy Standards of Practice
Comply with Homestead Co-op policies and procedures and follow Health and Safety procedures Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
