Job #4684 – Terrific opportunity to join a well-established, independent financial services provider as their Financial Controller on a full‑time, permanent basis! Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing full‑cycle accounting support from A‑Z. This includes managing the day‑to‑day accounting operations, while also providing the leadership team with timely reporting and insight into factors impacting growth and profitability. You will be considered a hands‑on, “roll‑up your sleeves” Controller who enjoys having variety in their day‑to‑day responsibilities. Additional duties include :

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Preparation of budget and oversight
• Management of payroll and benefits
• Bank reconciliations
• Record monthly commission revenue and application of the variable compensation plan
• Payment of all bills and expenses
• Provide updates to CFO on progress toward annual business plans
• Preparation of year‑end documents and closing of accounting system at year‑end
• Manage tax related activities such as HST / PST filing and tax installments

Qualifications :

The main qualifications for this role include :

• Post‑secondary education in accounting and / or finance required
• Completed CPA designation or in process considered an asset
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive full‑cycle accounting experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous Sage 50 experience considered an asset
• Proficiency in Excel

Compensation, Perks & Opportunities :
