Career Details Job Title : Junior Drafting Technologist Number of Openings : 1 Job Type : Secondment 6 months + Minimum Level of Education : Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Design & Drafting Technology Diploma Years of Related Experience : 1-3 years Office Location : Downtown Edmonton, AB Application Deadline : Until Filled Position Summary We are seeking a Junior Drafting Technologist for a hybrid secondment position located in downtown Edmonton, assisting in the creation and modification of technical drawings and plans under the supervision of senior staff members.

Other responsibilities include : Re-drawing existing drawings in AutoCAD format. Ensuring accuracy and completeness in drawings, including dimensions and annotations.

Conduct drafting checks of drawings at various stages of completion. Drafting electrical, instrumentation, and controls drawings under direction of engineers and designers.

Understanding and adhering to company and / or Client CAD standards as required. Quality assurance checks and document control for all drawings produced.

Our Ideal Candidate Familiarity with AutoCAD & experience with MicroStation would be an asset. Acute attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.

Ability to trouble-shoot CAD software problems. Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members.

Ability to ask questions, seek clarification, and convey information clearly and professionally. Capacity to listen actively and incorporate feedback into work processes.

Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment. Willingness to share knowledge, offer assistance to colleagues, and contribute to the success of the team.
