Job Description
As the Allocation Analyst, you will contribute to Laura’s success by managing and allocating the merchandise to stores for a division / category.
Using the merchandising system and various software technologies, the Allocation Analyst will ensure optimum inventory levels in stores to maximize sales and margins.
How will you support the team?
- Determine the ideal merchandise profile in order to meet the financial objectives of the company.
- Review and analyze weekly store performance / inventory levels; and actions on finding in order to maximize opportunities.
- Develop analysis tools in partnership with other departments to ensure store needs are fulfilled and all processes are efficient.
- Allocate new arrivals based on the assortment plans, sales trends and store needs.
- Review styles performance on a weekly basis and reacts as needed.
- Replenish sold goods through our replenishment and inventory balancing systems.
- Review transfer opportunities for in season products and executes accordingly in a timely and cost-efficient manner taking into consideration store capacity and sale needs.
- Collaborate with Planning and Buying for repeat order quantities and size runs based on styles and store performance.
- Collaborate regularly with buying to review assortment strategies for upcoming collections.
- Attend monthly meetings with Allocation Manager to review current and upcoming strategies that evolve as the business needs shift.
Qualifications
The people who thrive with us have :
- A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Commerce or other related specialty is an asset.
- Experience in retail, an asset.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong prioritization skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken to efficiently communicate with internal and external partners)
