WSP invites applications for the Senior Professional, Project Management position located at our Queensview Drive office in the National Capital Region.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Building Technologies Team Lead, you will oversee large technology and security projects throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Information Technology infrastructure and technology systems design, including cabling, network and technology planning.
- IT cabling infrastructure, network and technology project management and contract administration.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes.
- Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company and government drafting standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
- Contribute to maintaining WSP quality assurance approaches and methodologies.
- Collaborate with the local Technology Team and other disciplines within the business.
- Prepare concept design narratives, schematic design, detailed design, construction documents, and manage tender review, project coordination, construction administration and project closeout.
- Create briefs, reports, specifications, and proposals.
- Conduct workshops and presentations throughout the project cycle and to secure new business.
- Ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites and adhere to WSP's Life Saving rules.
Qualifications
RCDD designation required.IT credentials including CCNA and CCNP desirable.Cursory knowledge of security, AV and other building systems considered an asset.Strong writing skills, including report and specification writing.Ability to create and interpret technical documents, reports, diagrams, drawings and specifications.Flexible approach to the working environment.Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrable experience managing large security projects.Experience writing proposals and bids, understanding project finance, contracts and commercials.Ability to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 SECRET security clearance and work in a secure environment.Willingness to travel periodically and as required for project assignments.Valid driver’s license and a vehicle for travel to project sites.Benefits & Culture
