Production Accountant

These services are delivered via our network of facilities, along with our specialized equipment and assets. We are equipped to process, recover, recycle and dispose of waste and other materials safely and cost-effectively for our customers.
We are currently looking for a Production Accountant to be based out of the R360 Environmental Solutions Canada head office in Calgary.
Job Purpose :
The Production Accountant will primarily be responsible for completing month end production accounting cycles in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
They will also be providing day to day support to other members of the Production Accounting team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :
Review Facility data and plant balance inventories for accuracy
Maintain direct communication with Operations and Commercial teams to manage any issues with regards to plant balancing and / or monthly volume changes to customer activities
Determine and calculate accurate Proration Factors for R360 Full-Service Terminals (FSTs)
Manage Producer volume split allocations for R360 Full-Service Terminals (FSTs) including timely Producer correspondence
Generate monthly Shipper and APMC reports, gas venting requirements, pipeline confirmations, and oil credits
Update all internal business applications with facility codes from Producers
Confirm oil sales and split allocations with pipelines and purchasers
Confirm receipt volumes with Producers and report water disposal / injection / waste
Reconcile volume data and receipts in the preparation of commercial shipper balances
Maintain monthly government reporting requirements and deadlines within AB, SK, and BC on Petrinex
Collaborate with key stakeholders to resolve production and measurement audit queries in a timely manner
Maintain highest level of subject matter expertise on all Volumetric applications (D365, Truck Ticketing, Petrinex)
Ensure compliance with internal controls and AER directives as well as corporate policies and adherence to the COLC deadlines
Ensure customer queries are responded to appropriately and promptly
Proactive communication with Producers, Shippers, and Connected Facilities providing adequate time for awareness and response
Qualifications / Competencies :
The individual in this role will have :
3-5 years of relevant volumetric / production accounting experience in the Oil & Gas industry
CAPPA certification is considered an asset
Experience with Production Accounting software
Proficient in Petrinex and Petrotranz systems
Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft D365 applications
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical and decision-making skills to deliver accurate and timely results
Strong technical knowledge of waste / oil / water plant allocations, measurement, interpretation of schematics as well as Regulatory reporting requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines as per the COLC Calendar
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify a future problem / issue in advance
Exceptional attention to optimization of process, policies, and people
Ability to lead by example and adapt to the team
Ability to address customer queries appropriately and promptly
