Production Revenue Accountant

Meritas Recruiting is pleased to be working with a successful oil and gas company based in downtown Calgary. As part of their strategic plan for 2024 they will be adding a Production Revenue Accountant to their team.

This is a senior level position and the individual should be confident in their ability to join the Accounting department and quickly become a contributing member of the team.

The successful candidate for this role will have the following qualifications :

• A minimum of 10 years production revenue accounting experience.
• Metrix production accounting system experience is required .
• Strong understanding of all areas of reporting for oil and gas facilities, including complex plants, batteries, pipelines, royalty reporting, etc.
• A background working with field staff and the ability to develop good relationships with individuals within your team, corporate partners, and other departments that you interact with.
• Conventional experience with applications relating to reporting in production accounting.
• Senior level understanding of how to recognize opportunities to develop and implement efficiencies.
• Ability to audit, recognize and resolve reporting anomalies on historic, as well as current, desk related properties.
