Coordinates production support activities for all major systems and related subsystems to ensure the integrity of computer generated data.
Applies experience and seasoned knowledge, skills, and practices to perform a variety of assignments.
Job Description
What Will You Do?
- Investigate, resolve, and report on medium- to highly complex technical issues requiring business application understanding.
- Work closely with business clients to understand priorities and impact and provide timely and accurate reports to management and end-users on status of critical systems processes and reports.
- Proactively identify and act on emerging issues (and works with Development teams) to resolve them in the short and long term.
Many of these issues require rapid response and the ability to synthesize multiple technical factors quickly in order to arrive at a workaround or solution within hours.
- Make recommendations on process improvements and enhance system.
- Work on IT Risk deliverables and currency upgrades : eliminate technology vulnerabilities, participate in DR exercises, help in DR planning and design;
interact with various auditors and make sure that applications in our portfolio function according to published RBC IT Risk Standard
Weekly pager rotation and monitoring production jobs
What you need to succeed? (Must have's)
- Understanding of Change / Incident Management procedures
- Experience of Monitor application health after infrastructure / system updates
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Helios / UCD) for deployments
- Working knowledge on OMS updates, understand basic JCL and Zeke
- Working experience in Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Experienced in Disaster Recovery exercise and Archer findings
Nice-to-have
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Background in Capital Markets or trading highly desired
- Knowledgeable in NPID and Server Compliance
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
