Quality Assurance, Quality Control Technician
Ottawa, ON (On-site)
ABOUT THE ROLE :
- The Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, consistency, and compliance of our products and processes. This position supports inspections, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure our products meet both internal specifications and external regulatory standards
- You’ll collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Service, and Shipping teams to help deliver the highest level of quality to our customers
WHAT YOU’LL DO :
Evaluate parts and components identified as non-compliant by the field team and perform minor repairs.Perform functional testing and verification of equipment before shipment or releaseMaintain accurate documentation of inspection results, test data, and non-conformancesSupport root cause analysis and assist with corrective actionsCollaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve product / process discrepanciesEnsure proper calibration and use of inspection tools, gauges, and test equipmentAssist in developing and maintaining quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteriaEnsure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and industry guidelinesResolve non-conformance issues and implement changes as neededPerform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING :
High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training or certification in quality / manufacturing is a plus)At least 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a gritty industrial manufacturing or production environment is requiredFamiliarity with inspection toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and specificationsExperience interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specificationsWorking knowledge of quality systems and standards (such as ISO 9001) and documentation practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with quality or manufacturing software systems preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsWillingness to work in a manufacturing and warehouse-based environment with regular production floor interactionAbility to perform manual labor, stand for 8 hours, and lift up to 50 lbsMay involve occasional exposure to chemicals, machinery, and equipment under standard safety conditionsUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredRegular interaction with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and ShippingWe are an equal opportunity employer, and we are an organization that values diversity.
