About the Company
Our client, one of British Columbia's most prestigious full-service law firms, is in search of a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support the Commercial Real Estate group's professionals in transactions and matters related to land development.
The firm is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
About the Role
The incumbent will partner with the group's professionals to :
- Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents related to land development, including purchase agreements, leases, easements, and development agreements.
- Assist in the preparation of zoning applications, subdivision plans, and other land use documents.
- Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations in all documentation.
- Coordinate and manage real estate transactions from inception to closing.
- Conduct due diligence, including title searches, environmental assessments, and reviewing surveys and engineering reports.
- Liaise with clients, lenders, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
- Perform legal research on property laws, zoning regulations, and other relevant statutes.
- Analyze and interpret complex legal information to provide actionable insights for lawyers and clients.
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems.
- Monitor critical dates and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of client reports and presentations.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional and responsive communication.

Salary : Starting at $70,000 per annum; commensurate with experience.
What You Bring
- Paralegal diploma or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a specific focus on land development.
- Strong understanding of real estate and land use laws in British Columbia.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
