Purpose :
The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing the network management function within the utility by providing leadership and oversight on the following key mandates :
- Uphold the relationships between external and internal stakeholders to maintain global operational and regulatory standards.
- Monitor custodian performance and service levels.
- Support strategic decision making with regards to new business and market expansion.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will :
- Be the primary relationship and escalation point of contact on behalf of GWO Business Line for our Custodians & Depositories, providing support for business in strategic decision making regarding new business and market expansion.
- Conduct routine service review sessions with Custodians and Depositories.
- Assist in identifying and analyzing operational risk related to current and potential business.
- Bridge relationships between external and internal stakeholders to maintain global operational and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with internal / external auditors to support them on interim and year-end audit requirements.
- Lead projects that require assistance from Network Management.
- Monitor communications from CSDs regarding changes in market & regulations and proactively assess the business impact.
- Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations while ensuring adherence to day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to various risk areas.
- Build a high-performance environment, implementing a people strategy that attracts and retains talent while developing and motivating the team.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have :
- 6-8 years of experience in financial services with a focus on Capital Markets or related function.
- Prior experience in Network Management preferred.
- A deep understanding of financial markets, the players, and custody / cash products and operations.
- Strong knowledge of industry initiatives, developments, and their implications for a global banking organization.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects / deliverables simultaneously.
- Prior leadership experience.
