What is the opportunity?
This is a terrific opportunity to join RBC's Enterprise Performance Management Finance team where you will provide value-added strategic financial advice to senior leadership in a fast paced, high profile group.
Specifically, you will be responsible for Enterprise Performance Management's oversight of the Corporate Support segment.
The Enterprise Performance Management team provides the CFO, Group Executive, and the Board of Directors with insightful and timely advice and analysis to support and influence decision making.
Through value-added advice, we enable early identification of opportunities and issues, and make actionable strategic recommendations that support long-term bank performance.
You will work closely with leaders across all platforms to enhance Enterprise Performance Management capabilities and drive continuous improvement.
You will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with colleagues across a diverse set of stakeholders including the RBC's Business Segments, Financial Resource Optimization, Group Risk Management, Corporate Treasury, Functions, Technology & Operations, Finance Shared Services, and others.
You will deliver high quality work that is produced efficiently within tight timelines. You will support key RBC enterprise priorities while establishing, monitoring, and maintaining effective plans and controls to ensure that they are completed on time.
You will work closely with and support the Senior Director, Enterprise Performance Management, in successfully delivering on a challenging portfolio of projects and initiatives.
What will you do?
- Lead Enterprise Performance Management's oversight of RBC's Corporate Support segment which consists of Technology & Operations, Functions, Corporate Treasury and Other Corporate Support actions.
- Lead the reporting of actual results for the Corporate Support segment; coordinate with sub-segments of Corporate Support to prepare daily earnings estimates during the monthly / quarterly close cycle
- Support the Enterprise Performance Management team with Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) related analysis, and enhance documentation and controls surrounding the FTP mechanisms
- Assist in the analysis and development of proposed solutions for the FTP mechanisms for new and existing business processes;
working closely with key business segment platforms and Corporate Treasury.
- Focus on driver-based reporting, planning and analysis across the enterprise; Partner with Businesses, Functions and Technology & Operations Finance teams to enhance business performance reporting and the transparency of Corporate Support allocations
- Provide value-added insights into RBC enterprise business performance, supporting CFO initiatives and enterprise strategy by coordinating signature initiatives reporting
- Drive operational efficiencies and optimize processes to enhance Enterprise Performance Management effectiveness
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Undergraduate degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting) or related experience
- 5+ years of experience in the banking industry, at a consulting firm, or in public accounting
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Cognos TM1
- Previous experience in a fast paced work environment supporting Senior leaders
- Solid multi-tasking capabilities, with the ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities
- Strong attention-to-detail, with the ability to question and challenge information for integrity
- Proven ability to successfully provide insightful ad hoc requests on a short notice
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail

- Master's Degree in Business or Finance (MBA, MFin, etc.)
- Professional Designations : CPA, CA, CMA (or international equivalent); CFA
- Superior financial modelling skills
