Intermediate Network Engineer at High Tech Genesis

Responsibilities
- Install and configure the latest data center networking and compute equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with expert assistance.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd tier consultation to debug complex network topologies using SD‑Access, Catalyst Center, SD‑WAN, and other advanced protocols.
- Support customers during critical network incidents and manage a case load of high‑criticality issues.
- Identify, document, and resolve customer‑reported issues while driving customer satisfaction.
- Analyze diverse problems and correlate data across multiple platforms.
- Deliver system / product training to customers and contribute to the knowledge base for internal partners.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional high‑touch technical services teams and product engineering.
- Lead problem resolution efforts with internal stakeholders, including HTOM, HTE, TAC, and product engineering.
- Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications
1–5 years of networking experience with strong troubleshooting skills.In‑depth knowledge of routing protocols such as IPv4 / IPv6, EIGRP, IS‑IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and segment routing.Experience with Cisco routers ISR, ASR, CCR, and switches from the 2900 / 3600 / 4500 / 6500 series.Strong understanding of Layer 2 technologies (VTP, STP, MST, RSTP+, VLANs, EtherChannels).Proficiency with Linux / Unix (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS).Fluent in spoken and written English and French.Live in Ottawa, Canada, or willing to relocate.Legal authorization to work in Canada.Desired Skills
