You are :

A seasoned project execution practitioner and Senior Manager with expertise in designing, planning and executing greenfield and brownfield build, expansion and refurbishment projects in mining.

You're a wizard with understanding the capital project lifecycle and when it comes to sharing ideas with the C-suite. You're a natural leader with an eye to the future, a finger on the pulse of industry best practices and digital solutions, and the know-how to help clients transform the way they execute projects to reduce risk and ensure on-time / on-budget delivery while creating engagement and a meaningful experience for workers

The Work :

  • Lead mining client teams and solution architects to define requirements, design and map optimized business processes for efficient capital projects delivery and create functional design documents.
  • Support piloting of process changes and new software and help clients adopt to new digital processes and tools.
  • Lead engagement teams to implement and integrate project management, execution, and controls solutions.
  • Lead engagement teams to complete fit-gap analyses and support the definition of roadmaps to transform capital projects delivery.
  • Lead engagement teams to build the strategies, capabilities, systems, and processes needed to deliver against the set performance parameters.
  • Provide oversight over the development of value stream mapping and business cases for capital projects
  • Use new or current technology to help client complete capital projects, including planning systems, project management information systems, and reporting and analytics tools.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead business development pursuits
  • Lead and drive collaboration with Industry X and other internal leaders to prepare RFP responses, pricing and budgetary proposals

Basic Qualifications :

  • BS or B Eng in Mining, Chemicals, or Process engineering and 12+ years professional work experience in a related field (preferably Mining Industry)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Project Management / Project systems including Oracle Primavera, Oracle Unifier, Hexagon EcoSys, E-Builder, Kahua or similar technologies
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in capital projects management, asset management, construction execution, project management, and / or project controls, particularly in the mining industry
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language.

Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience managing the delivery of transformational services to the Mining sector
  • Experience in best practices, root cause analysis, criticality analysis and project life-cycle management
  • Proven ability to deliver management consulting projects with a focus on strategies for best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Program management and service delivery expertise to include resource planning, staffing, and status reporting
  • Customer relationship management and deep skills in expectation management
  • You have industry certifications such as CCM, CCE, PSP, EVM, PE, PMP, AIA, or QS

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.

As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired in British Columbia as set forth below.
