Mercer Canada is seeking a Legal Consultant , hybrid opportunity, based in our Toronto, Calgary, or Montreal office.

We will count on you to :
- Manage projects of varying degrees of complexity and scope with respect to registered pension plans, savings plans, taxation and benefits.
- Assist in developing pension, savings plans and employee benefit documents.
- Collaborate with clients and their legal counsel to find practical solutions to matters relating to retirement savings arrangements and employee benefits.
- Inform Mercer consultants and clients of legal developments and participate in training and professional development activities.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working independently as well as in a team with Mercer legal and tax professionals and other Mercer consultants.
What you need to have :
- JD or LL.B & called to the Bar
- 3+ years of experience in pension and employee benefit law, or has worked for a minimum of five years in a related legal field, and demonstrates a keen interest in pension and employee benefit law
- Relevant experience in taxation will be considered an asset
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
