Job Description

A Salesforce Consultant is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and implementing Salesforce solutions, and optimizing the platform to enhance business processes.

They utilize their proficiency in Salesforce configuration and customization, along with their strong problem-solving abilities, to create effective solutions for clients.

They also play a key role in translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout the project.

Additionally, they have experience with data migration, integration tools, and a deep understanding of Salesforce best practices.

Job Purpose

The purpose of a Salesforce Consultant is to provide expert guidance and support to clients in optimizing their Salesforce platform.

They work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and then design and implement customized solutions that meet their specific needs.

By leveraging their knowledge of Salesforce best practices and their problem-solving skills, they help clients enhance their business processes, improve efficiency, and achieve their goals through the effective use of Salesforce technology.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and project goals to define the scope of Salesforce implementation projects.
• Design and configure Salesforce solutions to meet client requirements, utilizing standard and custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and other Salesforce features.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and document detailed system requirements, including both functional and technical specifications.
• Lead and facilitate discussions and workshops with clients to identify and prioritize business processes and system enhancements.
• Manage multiple Salesforce projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality implementations.
• Conduct data migration activities, including data mapping, extraction, cleansing, and loading into Salesforce.
• Develop and execute testing strategies to ensure the quality and accuracy of Salesforce configurations and customizations.
• Provide user training and support to clients, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of Salesforce.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and system errors, working closely with clients and technical resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and architects, to deliver comprehensive Salesforce solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Salesforce configuration and customization, including experience with custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and other Salesforce features.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and design effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and facilitate productive discussions.
• Experience with data migration tools and processes, including data mapping, extraction, cleansing, and loading.
• Familiarity with integration tools and techniques, such as REST, SOAP, and middleware platforms.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce best practices and industry standards, with the ability to design scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Certifications in Salesforce Administration and / or Salesforce Developer are highly desirable.
• Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role, with the ability to manage client expectations and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus.
