Inpatient Low Tolerance Long Duration Rehabilitation Unit (7E)

Position Type : Temporary Full-Time (up to 12 months)

Shift Type : Days, no weekends (subject to change)

Hourly Rate : $24.00 - $26.27

Bi-Weekly Hours : 70 hours, 7hrs / shift

Job Summary :

The Inpatient Low Tolerance Long Duration (LTLD) Rehabilitation Unit is for patients requiring therapy as a result of musculoskeletal conditions.

The purpose is to help patients attain maximum physical and functional goals, while addressing emotional, social and spiritual needs to help them return to living in the community as independently as possible.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Staff scheduling within a computerized scheduling environment
  • Prepares, posts and maintains staffing schedules and attendance records
  • Orders supplies, files, and other clerical duties as assigned
  • Provides clerical support to the registered staff, residential areas / communities and Managers
  • Collects and distributes the mail
  • Schedules resident’s care conferences and appointments, including transportation arrangements
  • Communication and collaboration with other departments as required

Qualifications include but are not limited to :

  • 1 year recent and related clerical experience, in a health care setting or recent completion of a recognized post-secondary Office Administration Medical program required
  • Experience within a computerized scheduling environment required preferred
  • Excellent keyboarding skills of 40 wpm, computer skills, including Outlook, MS Word, Excel required
  • Experience with Kronos and Meditech preferred
  • Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Detail oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills
