Controller - CPA

Join a well-established financial firm in downtown Vancouver! As Controller, you’ll be key in driving financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.

This role includes leading budgeting, cash flow management, and overseeing accounting operations. If you're experienced in internal controls, process improvement, and leading finance teams, this is for you!

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting :

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Present operational metrics and financial reports to management for performance tracking.

Financial Analysis :

• Perform detailed financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide insights on performance variances and financial trends.

Budgeting and Forecasting :

• Develop and manage the firm’s annual budget, collaborating with department heads.
• Prepare quarterly financial forecasts for strategic planning.

Cash Flow Management :

• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize financing costs.
• Prepare cash flow projections to anticipate future needs.

Internal Controls :

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Regularly review accounting processes to ensure regulatory compliance.

Process Improvement and Automation :

• Streamline accounting processes for increased efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for automation to enhance productivity.

Accounting Operations :

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial transactions and reconciliations.

Tax Compliance :

• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors for complex tax matters.

Qualifications

4+ years of Controllership Experience in a Professional Environment

SAP Experience is a HUGE asset
