Join us today to launch your career with Canada Computers & Electronics! Position overview : The Junior Accountant will provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
- Responsibilities : Assist with preparing Balance Sheet and P & L; Bookkeeping general ledger transactions in Sage; and / or in Netsuite Monthly expense variance analysis;
- Reconcile bank, credit cards and inter-company accounts Assist with Balance sheet accounts reconciliations; Assist with HST / GST, PST, EHT, WSIB, Payroll tax returns;
- Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain and convey information and / or to correct transactions; Assist and coordinate with higher level management for special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required;
- Other duties as assigned. Requirements : University Degree / College Diploma in Accounting field; Minimum 3 years of general ledger accounting experience is required;
- Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws and reporting requirements; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization;
- Computer literate, including effective working skills of QuickBooks / Sage / NetSuite, MS Word, Excel and OutLook; Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently;
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills; Analytical and problem solving skills;
