Our client is looking for an Intermediate Network / Systems Administrator for a full time permanent opportunity! This position is fully on-site in Burnaby (Metrotown).
- Strong networking skills (eg : routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Experience with VMWare, Windows Servers, Active Directory, etc.
- Strong Communication skills as you will be working with a variety of stakeholders including management teams and internal staff.

The Network / Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our client’s network and systems infrastructure.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to delivering excellent service and support to internal stakeholders.
- Manage and administer the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and ensure its availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot network problems and outages.
- Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
- Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems and applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
- Ensure data integrity and implement backup and recovery procedures.

You :
- Minimum 3 years’ as a Network / Systems Admin.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, VPN’s, etc.
- Experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, etc.
- Experience with scripting in Powershell, JavaScript, Shell or Bash
- Any experience with Linux systems would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure systems including operating systems, consolidated storage, network components, virtualization technologies and backup systems.
- Practical knowledge of automated system and network monitoring tools.
Compensation : $75,000 - $80,000
