Senior IT Security Engineer

Project Summary

The scope is to provide expert support to the Individual Partnerships and Payment Solutions team. The role will focus on identifying design and implementation activities that support technical design, deployment, configuration, system integration, implementation, and infrastructure testing—including integrated load, stress, performance, and scalability—in the migration of the Canadian Benefit for Parents of Young Victims of Crime, Apprenticeship Grants, and Coal Workforce Transition Program from the legacy system to the new Individual Grants and Contributions System.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of recent experience working as an IT Security Engineer or similar.
• 5+ years of experience with security protocols and tools such as IPSec, SSL, SSH, IPv6, IDS / IPS, firewalls, DNS / NTP.
• 3+ years of experience with Security Assessment & Authorization processes, such as SAQ, SoSAR, PIA, BIA, RBAC, and ATO documentation.
• 3+ years of experience preparing security documentation and conducting audits / IV&V, including technical reports, implementation plans, and SOPs / ConOps.
• 2+ years of expertise with Azure DevOps for reporting, tracking, and team collaboration.
• Must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance and have experience working with the Federal Government.
• Must have a Canadian university degree or college / CEGEP diploma related to computer science, business administration, information technology, engineering, or an equivalent recognized by a Canadian academic credentials assessment service. A copy of the degree or diploma must be provided upon request.
