The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, work with other departments and

trades, deal with homeowners, research various electronic files, all while working closely with our onsite warranty and

construction teams. Strong customer service, administrative, documentation and follow-through skills are a must;

ability to respond to conflict in a positive manner is essential. This is not a work from home position work location is

on-site and generally not accessible by public transportation.

Reporting to the Warranty Manager, the Warranty Foreman will :

Provide excellent customer service

Liaise with the Site Super to ensure a smooth flow of customer care between construction and warranty

Manage the on-site warranty team; monitor attendance, punctuality and productivity of site staff

Interview potential applicants and train all new site staff using provided training manuals

Perform assessments as required, provide clear communication on and monitor follow-up actions

Become familiar with all responsibilities and processes of site positions

Be able to step into any role when needed

Ensure weekly order for site materials is submitted on time and orders are received accurately

Assess maintenance of model homes from time to time, as requested.

Report any staffing concerns or escalated files to management

Work directly with with trade partners, site staff and homeowners

Manage electronic files and tracking systems to provide productivity reports as requested

Report on recurring issues or deficiencies with clear detail to help implement positive changes to the

drafting and / or building process

Use critical thinking to resolve issues that arise with employees or customers

Consider both the CPGs and good customer service when determining warrantability of items

Review and approve the costing of non-warrantable repairs within a set limit

Ensure the Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines and repair times are met to avoid conciliations

Additional tasks may be assigned

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Strong understanding of new home construction terminology is required

Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code is an asset

Previous experience in new home warranty and understanding of the Tarion CPGs is required

Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have strong computer knowledge (email, spreadsheets, Google platform)

Must be highly organized and familiar with tracking and reporting

Excellent customer service skills

Ability to support the team through positive leadership

Self-directed with ability to work independently, and with little supervision

Punctual, reliable, with an excellent work ethic is paramount

Must have own vehicle
