While there is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects the primary focus of this position is to assist our design team on structural design for the residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

What a day at EXP has in store for youAssist the project principal with managing the projectsWork with other senior and / or junior engineers collaborativelyParticipate in design meetings with owner, architect, and other consultantsParticipate in construction site meetingsConduct site visits during construction to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract documentsWhat your experience looks likeDegree in Structural Engineering from a recognized university.

P. Eng. Licence is required.Preferably 10+ years’ experience in structural engineering with a focus on building structural analysis and design.

Proven experience with complete design of projects including analysis, design, detailing, and construction administration for various building structure projects.

Experience with managing team of engineers and drafters, and full coordination with the client, architect, and other disciplines.

Experience with NBCC, CSA standards.Experience with American and other international codes and standards is an asset.Field experience on construction sites, conducting general reviews for compliance with drawings and specifications, and writing site reports.

Experience with Etabs, SAFE, SAP and other similar Structural software.Team player with the proven ability to work independently and make technical decisions.

Hard worker, who is eager and willing to assume responsibility.Commitment and dedication to client service as well as technical excellence.

Demonstrated and effective communication skills and the ability to handle changing needs while working effectively with diverse groups.

Strategic thinker with the ability to determine what work is required and draw rational conclusions from all available information.
