About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure preventative maintenance is done regularly and to provide troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime.
We are looking for an eager individual with the drive to succeed. The position reports to the Operations Manager.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and troubleshoot process equipment problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions.
- Responsible for creating, preparing & modifying CNC programs for both new development programs and engineering changes to existing programs.
- Assist in training production operators on the operation, set-up, safety and maintenance of the CNC machines
- Developing CNC Fixturing and Tooling, Work Instructions, PM schedules as it pertains to CNC machines and other equipment
- Continual maintaining and optimizing of the Preventative Maintenance Program
- Support Production personnel on engineering related issues when necessary.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives
- Measure and strategize to maximize machine uptime.
- Optimize existing manufacturing processes to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability through new fixture / tool design and / or new technologies.
- Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System
- Demonstrate company values, works with integrity and a supportive corporate member
- Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions
- Ability to use a CMMS.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years ‘experience mechanical / electro mechanical maintenance / installation
- Working knowledge of CNC Machines
- Knowledge and excellent use of general office computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google App Suite)
- Ability to read and verify technical drawings
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Travel between Canadian locations as required
