Job description

We are seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to lead and oversee medium to large-scale projects in the Payments Division Project Management Office. This role involves managing project scope, budgeting, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, and risk management while ensuring the successful implementation of IT and infrastructure systems. The selected candidate will work hybrid (2 days onsite per week) and collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead and direct resources, ensuring the right skill sets are represented within the project team.
  • Apply best practices in project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to align project goals and ensure compliance.
  • Manage partnerships with service providers to administer fare system supply and operations contracts.
  • Provide progress updates, reports, and risk assessments to senior leadership and business units.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to project execution and delivery.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions to address project variances and challenges.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Track expenditures and manage contract amendments with vendors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and procurement processes.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring clear responsibilities and expectations.
  • Provide coaching and project management guidance to team members and consultants.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by setting standards, monitoring progress, and ensuring accountability.
  • Qualifications

    1.Must-Have Qualifications

  • Certified PMP or 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in software development, particularly within IT-related projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
  • 2.Educational Background

  • Completion of a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3.Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing IT system deployments and large-scale implementations.
  • Strong contract and procurement management skills for handling vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, risk assessment, and change management principles.
  • Experience in both Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
