Join the Business Solutions Engineering team in the Specialist, Software Engineering (Sitecore) role, where the next generations of software applications are being developed to enable CMHC to achieve its mission. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative software solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders in order to ensure business requirements are understood and met, all while supporting continuous improvement through CMHC’s Sitecore system.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with the client community to determine their system needs, document the current and proposed business processes, and advise clients of the proposed solutions and their impacts.
• Author technical specification documents and diagrams for new and existing solutions.
• Design and implement Sitecore solutions according to business requirements, ensuring high-quality code standards and the delivery of efficient, scalable solutions.
• Work closely with UI/UX specialists, the client community and the other team members to create seamless, visually appealing, and user-friendly experiences.
• Participate in the testing and defect resolution process and deployment activities.
• Stay updated on new Sitecore features, best practices, and industry trends to continually improve system capabilities.

What you should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in programming, developing, and implementing business applications.
• A minimum of one (1) year of expertise in developing Sitecore and front-end solutions. A strong ability to establish and apply development best practices.
• A passion for technology and motivation that is driven by technical challenges and innovation.
• A desire to continuously grow your expertise through learning and professional development.
• Previous experience leading and mentoring junior developers and performing code reviews.
• Previous experience working in an Agile environment, with the ability to solve complex problems and engage in challenging projects.
• Proven interpersonal, leadership and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.

Technologies:

• A strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and experience with front-end libraries such as Angular, responsive design, ReactJS, NodeJS, Typescript, Azure Function App., .NET development (C#) ASP.Net MVC, .Net Core, ASP.Net, Web API, Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of implementing Coveo search with Sitecore.
• Source code management and DevOps with Azure DevOps and Git.
• Experience working with cloud platforms; Azure DevOps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus and API Management. SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA,and APIs.

It would be great if you also had:

• A Sitecore Certification.
