Job Purpose

Grow Sames capital equipment and spare parts to the general industry market through distribution and direct sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a plan to work with each of the distributors & their team, in your region, so they become experts in selling the advantages & benefits of SAMES products.
  • Develop Industry Partner Relations (i.e. paint, powder & dispense manufacturers, integrators etc.).
  • Informal training on new and existing SAMES products to distribution partners.
  • Assist in proposal & equipment design specification.
  • Assist distribution with installation supervision.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience with industrial finishing equipment as ASSET.
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge, preferably through work-related experience.
  • Ability to quickly attain SAMES product knowledge.
  • Able to travel as required (valid driver's license and valid passport).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office desired.
  • Outstanding punctuality and organizational skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence : self-motivated, self-control, self-starting. Holds oneself accountable for actions and results.
  • Ability to take calculated risks.
  • Mission to serve with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and effectively communicate with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
  • Meticulous, motivated, organized, attention to detail.

Desired Skills or Experience

  • Technical understanding of SAMES product line or similar equipment.
  • Exposure to automation & production environments.
  • Knowledge of the quotation process.

Working Environment and Physical Requirements :

  • Driving in car for long periods : air travel. May require occasional travel outside Canada.
  • May be Exposed to solvents, paints, and some hazardous materials.
  • May require extended walking (through factories, airports etc.).
  • Able to pick up and carry products of moderate weight.
