Transportation Operations Coordinator

Kelly Services is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our client's team in Cambridge, ON, on a temporary 6-month basis with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyzing data for outbound planning
  • Sourcing equipment from the Carrier pool
  • Collecting performance data for PO arrival and exceptions
  • Reviewing all POs for accuracy and following up when necessary
  • Assisting in the analysis and development of inbound opportunities
  • Communicating performance data for DCs and Scheduling
  • Addressing issues / concerns with appropriate individuals
  • Acting as a key resource for internal and external contacts
  • Carrying out operational plans set out by the Senior Manager
  • Scheduling, tracking, and tracing goods in transit
  • Collaborating with the Distribution Center, Supply Chain, and customers to resolve issues
  • Ensuring that daily and weekly reports are completed accurately and on time

Experience and Skills Required :

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience within a retail / distribution environment, preferably within transportation / logistics
  • Solid understanding of distribution operations / systems and transportation
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, prioritization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and familiarity with SAP, WMS, and Transportation Manager is an asset
