Job Title: Construction Technician
Job Description

The Construction Technician will be responsible for cleaning, refurbishing, and repairing modular units upon their return. In addition, they will assist with setups as necessary. The units are relatively new and require minimal refurbishment. The technician will perform various tasks as needed and will also use computers to coordinate jobs with other workers. Technical skills are essential as the role involves service calls.

Responsibilities

• Clean, refurbish, and repair modular units upon return.
• Assist with unit setups as required.
• Perform various tasks to maintain and improve modular units.
• Utilize computers to coordinate jobs with other workers.
• Conduct service calls for technical issues.
• Handle minor renovations including framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools including hammers, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
• Experience in construction and renovation with 3-5 years on job sites or renovation projects.
• Basic computer skills for job coordination.
• Ability to handle lead or managerial tasks as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Carpentry skills are preferred.
• Experience in putting up minor walls and fixing wheels in modular units.
• Construction certifications or experience are advantageous.

Work Environment

The work primarily takes place in a construction bay equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable environment. Occasionally, the technician may need to work outside. The team is small, fostering a close-knit atmosphere. The role operates during the day shift from 7 AM to 4 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Innisfil, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
