Description :

Analyze engineering drawings to determine the kind of pipe required and the most efficient installation layout. Cut, bend and join the pipes by employing bending machines, flame cutters and welding devices to ensure properly fitting pipes that allow for the safe, smooth flow of high pressure substances.

Qualifications :

• Completion of high school; Completion of on-the-job training; Completion of formal apprenticeship and technical training from an Accredited Canadian College; Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings; Knowledge of mathematic applications and measuring tools; Ability to function effectively and productively within a team focused work group; Speak / read / write fluently in English; Knowledge of raw materials, productions processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Knowledge and understanding of safety and safety precautions involved; Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, and applications including air, water, material dynamics, light, atomic principles, heat, electric theory, earth formations, and meteorological and related natural phenomena.
