Job descriptionSummary of Responsibilities Professionalism Manages assigned projects or assignments including financial oversight. Supervises a team to ensure adherence to established qualitative and quantitative standards. Facilitates the development of junior staff through coaching knowledge transfer and internal training programs.- Identifies and cultivates new business opportunities with existing clients. Technical Oversees complex and specialized materials in the following domains : Audit - Review - Notice to Readers Tax- Maintains quality control standards throughout each assignment or project. Takes responsibility for special assignments.- Applies specialized knowledge to proactively anticipate identify and address issues pertinent to the clients business. Interpersonal Allocates resources effectively while providing leadership to the team. Assumes accountability for the financial management of assignments and projects. Responds effectively to client inquiries and suggestions related to assignments. Development Demonstrates a commitment to remaining informed on new developments within the profession. Enhances the firms image as business consultants and articulates our brand effectively. Establishes productive working relationships with client contacts throughout assignments. Summary of Experience Over five years of public accounting experience. Requirements Holds a University degree in Accounting. Possesses Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Possesses a thorough understanding and experience working with the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) along with knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Strong knowledge of tax regulations is essential.- Experience in leading and mentoring a team. Exhibits excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with external clients. Demonstrates robust file management skills and organizational capabilities able to manage multiple engagements concurrently. Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook. Experienced in using accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks Caseware Jazz-it TaxPrep and Simply Accounting.
