What you’ll do:

Deliver exceptional customer service with a positive, professional approach and attitude
Remain dependable for scheduled shifts
Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly location at all times
Operate and maintaining all equipment and tools in a safe and reasonable manner
Adhere to all Westview Co-op policies and procedures and following all OH&S regulations
Deliver product in a timely manner, ensuring loads are correct and deliveries are on time
Receive merchandise as directed by the Lumber Manager
Provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer
Ensure employees maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment where the employee’s well being is paramount
Supervise staff to ensure they adhere to staff appearance, housekeeping, loss prevention, and customer service standards
Communicate effectively with the Lumber Manager on any issues that may arise
Any other job-related duties that may arise

Who you are:

We are seeking a Yard Supervisor who is passionate about building a positive and collaborative team culture, with a strong focus on teamwork, customer service, and accountability. This individual will play a key role in fostering an environment where employees work together to achieve success and deliver exceptional service.

Organizational skills and great time management
Ability to work independently in a team environment
Class 3 license would be an asset
Class 5 Driver’s License is a must
Picker/forklift experience would be an asset
Experience in securing loads is a must have
Previous retail and lumber experience would be an asset
Working knowledge of hardware, the Home Centre, products, and building supplies is essential
Ability to handle multiple demands at once while providing excellent customer service
Commitment to Co-op’s values and principles
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Previous supervisory experience is a must
Willing to participate in a Criminal Record Background Check

This is a Full-time position, the candidate will have the ability to work days, evenings and weekend for approximately 40 hours per week.
